My cousin is a engineer for Milwaukee and to my knowledge the only things made in the United States are non battery operated hand tools. He's tried getting his designs made in the states, but corporate says it costs to much to do business here...
My grandparents retired off grid on Wisconsin/Michigan border in 1999. When they sold their Kohler to the neighbor it had 21,000 hours on it and he still powers his cabin with it. Currently run a generac 10kw with about 7,000 hours on it.
I purchased a new 7901 a couple weeks back, pulled the gasket and got .024 squish with my 3 pieces of solder twisted together. Checked and rechecked, kept getting .024 until I used just a single strand of wire, Then it measured .014 so I tossed a thin gasket I made in there to get to .021...
Got 2 more side jobs before I order myself a 7901, so I'll stop back here after the next to weekends. I'm thinking we've all been there before, I just believe in karma man, it's like a 2 stroke bro you only get out what you put in...
