Ok, I see what you’re saying now. No it doesn’t have that style screen. My others saws do. This saw is a hollow 2-piece can with a lip inside for a screen to sit.

Thanks for the pics! It has the HD2 on it. I tried to leave the outside opening completely alone too. Maybe I should remove the screen? Going to install it tomorrow, tune it, and see how it goes. Worse case I guess I can always put the stock muffler back on.

I’d def like to see it. Mine is a carb saw too, no MTronic. I did just get a 261c that I’d like to MM too.

muffler is the 2 piece design. I kept the ledge for the screen as well. Here is the current product. Are you thinking I can open it up more?

When you do that how do you use a spark screen? Or are you not using one and take it out too?

Good to know! I left the outside alone. Ran across the edges of the opening to remove any burrs I caused but that was it.

Spent a long time reading different posts about doing an MM, thanks for all the insight. This is my first try; bought a replacement muffler to try this on and left the original alone; spark arrestor will be put back in; then a tuning. Is this size fine or too big? Read different thoughts...
