Agreed, very slick. And the price seems very fair

The only emails I get are when people respond to threads I'm watching, or when I get a private message. I'm not getting these other spam like emails from them; thankfully. I like both sites, there's good and bad people on both. You know who you are, respectively. :0p Brave is best fork of...

    Another chainsaw dyno...

Hmmm, I wonder what a KM90XS would be like... Maybe bump up to a 20" bar on the ole pole saw??? Would give me another foot or better of reach!

FWIW, the FTreeFiddy hasn't been that clean since those photos. I washed and waxed her, and now she's covered in hot oil residue from the past two years of treatment. I purposely don't wash it off ;)

    Another chainsaw dyno...

Great video! I would love to have my ported 254s dyno'd. Would be interesting to see how they stack up to a stock one, and to newer 50-60cc saws.

I ran my stock 361 vs my 262, both with 20" 3/8 freshly filed round chain, and they were neck and neck. I think the 262 started to speed up as it warmed up and may have been a second faster than the 361. Was cutting in a 16-18" dry/dead white ash log. I miss both saws.

Not sure on a 262, probably about the same. The 254 is about a 1/2 pound lighter than a 361.

I inherited my grandfather's 1989 254. It was a mess. At the time, I was a Stihl guy. Had a MS310, MS361, etc. Had the local Husqvarna/Stihl dealer bring it back to life, and the owner (a Husky guy) said, I bet you'll like that 254. Well, he was right. I fell in love with it. I'm sure the...

What oil is best? and what ratio?

Like a dummy, I sold a cherry 262xp; HDA87, KS jug, was mint. I just newer ran it, my ported 254s get used the most.

The 462 is the most impressive saw made right now, IMHO. I want one, but at $11-1200, I can't justify it. Maybe I'll snag a lightly used one at some point. I just sold my 461 yesterday :(
