Thanks! No, it doesn't. Going by Dave Smith's thread here: https://opeforum.com/threads/064-066-ms650-ms660-info-thread.696/ it is the Bosch 'dogleg coil':

The old style muffler the saw came with (pictured below) had small steel sleeve spacers behind the bottom two holes. You can see them and the longer M5 cap screws (which have washers) below the muffler in the pic below.

So what you're saying is that the spacers between the muffler and case and the longer M5 cap screws are factory?

Yep, Dr Al messaged me and asked if I could source Sugi .404 bar tips here in NZ as he couldn't seem to find any over there. MCOP had some which I FedExed over to him.

Thanks Mark, interesting you point up the muffler, the one that came on the saw is a very early style muffler, but it appears to be off an 066 as it is the deeper version and had spacers between it and the cases along with long M5 cap screws. I presumed this was wrong and found a good...

I tested the saw this afternoon in hardwood and it runs like stink, almost reluctant to let it go! Buy with confidence, I've been around for while and there might be one or two who can vouch for me.

A few more money shots, note that the fuel tank is solid white, not translucent like the later saws:

I'm not sure if this is the orginal fuel filter, but I haven't ever seen a Stihl one like it before, nevertheless I replaced it with a new orange Stihl filter along with a new NGK BPMR7A sparkplug
