    Favorite semi skip chain

Ms390 would definitely prefer the full skip. And I'd recommend Dukes brand chain in a cheap 3 pack. The dealer is a member on this forum and I believe a sponsor. I've used plenty of his chain. Traverse creek saw shop at the top of this page.

    Husqvarna 592xp woes and fixes

I thought the case reinforcement was added after the first run of 592xp's came out? Because of the spike breaking that corner off. I could be wrong or the case side could have been replaced?

STIHL The Official Stihl Chainsaws Thread

I think with the wide selection of 70cc+ saws I'm not going to be able to justify any saw purchases ! Lol unless I start giving them away! I did think about an MS462R ,but I really hate the one piece top covers, even if they're better.

I think it started in the import fart car world , or for us old guys "rice burners" . I could be wrong ? It's just a general term for anything that people latch on to and nothing could be better.

Honestly a sharp chain will out cut any high dollar options. I'm particular about my sharpening and honing those skills . I've shown up at a cleanup with a 40 or old saw and out cut 3 other ( modern) saws because people can't sharpen a dam chain! A good tune and a sharp chain will smoke a...

    MCCULLOCH The official McCulloch thread

I was gonna actually suggest using the LRB piston with Mac bearings as a thick ring alternative. Rings transfer alot of heat from the cylinder.

I do, I got 2 saws for work when Helene hit , a 500i and a 592xp. Both worked flawlessly and got a lifetime of hours on them in about 4 months. I wanted to personally own the 500i again, come spring I'll probably be looking at scratching the 592xp itch! Despite the fan boys I think it's...

    Trees you've cut

I definitely stick too 30% on the face cut with the cottonwood species. I've found if I go too deep and then pound the snot out of the wedge it can break one side of the hinge, plus it's easier to tip over at 30.
