I can think of two other causes. I've seen lots of cross threaded plugs in aluminum heads strip the threads. Also seen plugs left in for years with no anti-seize and the threads come out with the plug.

They built Stihl 500 as nice, as an 009........ Yep 009. My 009 had cheap s/t screws in the muffler which failed, stripped out and muffler a rattle box...... SS Cap screws fix. How many 500 be going 30 years from now? With aluminum screws.

I'd replace them ALL with steel cap screws. Any good hardware store......

I used to put out, meat stripped (almost) deer ribcages/backbone/necks, to see what the game cam would see. First time I got a big bobby pic then the carcass was gone? WTF? Found it buried under debris ~50 yards away, same bobbys work. So...I dragged it back , took two hefty hardwood poles...
