My 2050 pioneer did that=: The verdict: The cylinder polished to a mirror.
The second problem comes from the carburetor diaphragm -it let air mix with the fuel causing it to pump
fuel on choke, but not on idle.

[1] Clean the entire carb in ammonia.
[2] Check for cracks in the tank/body...
That is what I would do. Full disassembly, wear crackdown, and reassembly.

A good idea after reassembly is to check everything over, intake hose leaks are costly in time.
I have a mark1 550 and the problem was the fuel. The 550 wants 50:1 or close to it -
like Maintenance Chief said, this is a dealer repair (unless you have $400.00 lying around
to buy the software)
