I think you might find the carb adjustment is ever so slightly different between the 2 perhaps. I've read of users of the stihl stuff (motomix?) Need to tweak the screws as they swap between fuels. Although come to think.... It was an American user and they have a bigger difference in RON so...
Looks good. The black under paint is an interesting idea. I suspect simply rubbing back won't leave super sharp lines though, but fingers crossed for you.
2k has cyonate in it doesn't it? Not nice.
I thought for a moment it was going to clean up in the beech, just for a fraction of a.....and no. There is a clear change when you bury the bar in the Euc stump. That saw cuts a bit doesn't it?!
That looks cracking. You are, like Wonky, just making me think I'll go down the powder route though.... You need to put in the effort for a good finish, and I'm so short on time.
What do you spend on paint? Must be £10-15 on etch and a bit more on top coat?
Now I know it's not poly carb like car headlights, but faded lights can be wet sanded back, step down to a couple thousand grit, finish with a car polish and dual action polisher then' protect from UV with a wax or sealer.
I've been reviving some very faded plastics on my 038 super with car plastics conditioner, autoglym rubber and vinyl or autofinnesse dressle. It's taken alot of applications, and they aren't 'as new' but are better than they were. I was considering a wet sand.
Looking at the Meteor piston kit which people seem to think is decent, is it good to use all of the kit, circlips and gudgeon pin included? I know the caber rings are good
