My wife's uncle has a nice cow/calf operation in Wyoming. When we were out visiting this summer, he said that they haven't kept a replacement heifer for two years now, because weaned calves are going for such a high price, it doesn't make sense to hang onto them. He figures it will either bottom...
A neighbor lives close to a quarry, so he just weighs his rig, loads whatever cattle he's sending, then rolls back across the scale. It's close enough for friends and family type deals.
I'm a simple man - Jim Beam white label is fine, since my cocktail of choice is usually an Old Fashioned with way too much bitters.
That being said, my good friend from college has a craft distillery near Cincinnati - New Richmond Distilleries https://www.nrdistilleries.com/
It's really nice...

Some of this inflation stuff takes time to sort out. They might not run batches of that oil every day, so incremental cost increases are not realized until it's time to run a new batch, and then they have to jump up the price.
Another vote here for Mittyvac 8500 over any of the cheap ones on the jungle website. I had a cheap one that lasted a couple months at most. My Mittyvac was used off of ebay, and it's still going strong several years later.
That was a heck of a good price. One is on the way.
Might as well make a minor rebuild out of it, since this is my go-to saw most of the time. New AV springs, and a few other goodies on the way as well. I might even play around and clean up the chipped cylinder anyway, and stuff an HL supply...
Bad news guys. The ring caught the top of the exhaust port during the carnage, and took a large chunk out, so I think this OEM red top cylinder has had it. P&V test passed at least, so on to cleaning and getting a new top end on the way.
