As Philbert has said before, you can put a new chain, or one you have hand filed on the grinder, then match the wheel to the cutter profile you like…..don’t worry about what the numbers are in the grinder head, just get what you want out of it…

How are the chains done on that machine, cut on??

Did you move the head tilt or other angles to try and get the cutter profile you want??

Let us know how it does…where did you get the wheel from??

I just got these in a group of saws I bought so I want to get one running eventually to use around the house…

Yep that’s excactly what I do, you can hear it in the cut, I wouldn’t try to tune one unless it was in the wood…

And I also dont think those tiny burrs have any ill-effect on the chains cutting ability….i have (with my hands), ran a cutter over a 2x4 and within an 1-inch the burn was gone…

They are not magic for certain, but they work great and the wheel never having to be re-shaped helps create a “constant” in the equation…. And yes I had lung issues years ago and the minimal dust factor was also why I got/like them!!

They can be a *b-word to tune, close to the same sounds…mine is still sticks. Also just tune in the cut mostly
