Simple Green in a USC Seems to help sort the AL Transfer 0n the cyl (The Color) Hard to explain. My Fingernail isn't as trust worthy as a pick when I am checking if the transfer is Proud on the plating or if it is a gouge/score. Reading BRAIL in fine print would be impossible for me.

Definitive Dave was going to Use Leather. I suggested the braided wrap design put on wet so it would shrink for a tighter and durable fit. He was getting FANCY on his custom colored powder coated saw. I don't know how it all worked out.
My way of thinking is something (carbon) entered on the exhaust port ''cuz the streaks are on the sides of the ex. if it was in the lower end wouldn't the crud enter via transfers and be more random on the piston? Sketchy thinking so chime in if for no other reason I might learn something.

I agree BUT a .325 is less grabby on trimming twiggy tops. And if OP already has the .325 bar he might as well use it instead of hanging it on the wall.
Memory is a bit foggy But the drum bearing needs to checked when swapping drums. The 034 original was smaller OD. (or something like that.)
I got 4 after market rim/drum/bearing kits once and the bearing cage was plastic and stood to tall. The E clip couldn't get in the groove. Sand paper on...

The original had a wood grain molded on them. Your pin and washer and spring appear to be in your handle.
An Old guy told me if you can't smell it it can't burn. I usually rinse with hot water and dawn dish soap. . I did a bulk gas tank that had gas in it, I used car exhaust ( an old smoker Chevy wagon I was selling a friend for a demo derby) and let it run an hour or so. Torched the door...
A bit if extra work but drill and tap the broken stub. Use some "GOO" of what will hold best at the last moment of assembly. I would use a short piece of all thread and run it into the "threaded stub" as much as will fit. Then use a nut/tap and washer to draw it up tight from the out side...
