Get a load of this!?!? *the little Solo is back*

That 611 has spent most of it's 40+ years on a shelf, it hurts to think it was almost wrecked by thoughtless packing. You have done a great job getting it back in shape. That rear handle can be tricky with all the pins and springs, you'll be doing that again when you rebuild and clean the...

    Remington

This is the tool I made from an old circular saw blade. None of my Dremel burrs would cut the groove sides square like I wanted. The carbide tooth does a pretty good job.

That is perfect and well thought out! Do I have your permission to use this when wife Laura gives me a dirty eye look? She is (or has been) accepting of my hobbies but I don't expect that to last as long as I plan to live.

I decided to take the Super 2 off the scooter and turn it into a chainsaw again. Still deadly but more useful with a hurricane close. Cost me a good bit because the parts I took off 25 years ago to mount it on the scooter and drive a go kart chain couldn’t be found. Still had the case.

    Remington

I picked up this SL4 this past weekend; starts , runs and cuts good. I need to recut grooves in the starter cup, will likely do 1/2 the original number, there are a bunch. There is a lot of play between the shaft and clutch bushing, bushing to needle bearing is good. Any suggestions, there is a...

    Educate me - Solo 611.

I got it sorted out, put the original metering spring in and all is well. Pop off pressure almost pegs my gauge, right at 30 psi, seems strange to me but that's what it took. Ran almost a full tank through it yesterday and it cuts good for a 47cc saw, many cuts in a 15" pine with a 4" fat...

My 611 starts easy cold but after a few seconds goes rich and soon floods out. I have a new kit in the Walbro WA-34A, pop off pressure is 12 psi and reset is 8 psi. Fuel continues to drip from the carb throat until I crack the cap and release pressure in the tank. Fuel tank pressure seems to...

That is fantastic! Keep that contact/friendship. Without it or the ability to read and speak German I have little hope of getting parts. Either I make the part or find a "parts" saw.

Moparnut88, compare these 611 photos to yours. For all I know the 611 and 610AV could be the same externally with internal variations.

This sure looks like my 611. 610AV, 35cc and Tillotson HU carb; 611, 47cc and Walbro WA carb.

I will try to upload a picture of the spring thing I made. The loop fits between the sprocket teeth but not deep enough to interfere with the drivers.
