The Bahcos I used have been good. That's good price at the link you shared. As for Lee Valley I only ever browse there. Nice tools there but spendy.

Yeah, these at the Forester site are Woodys brand. I better find some Pferd or Vallorbe. Bahco were good but I'm down to my last two.

I have been using Bahco files I get through Zoro but they are NLA. Does anyone have input on the forester brand double bevels? At about $90 a dozen they are certainly cheaper than the trusted brands.

I like those saws, sir. I did see the 923 listed for sale here. The seller was good enough to run an inspection cam down into the cylinder. I decided to pass on it.

My 7-10 likes to jump at me. I added a brake. The muffler on that thing still occasionally tries to brand me, though.

The Homelite 550 ran well for about two minutes before developing an air leak. I thought it might be the modified stihl crank seals I used but it was something else. The new intake boot is kaput.
