I spent the day pulling the counter unit and the RF board out of a Kenwood TS-830S radio because the TX mixer is toast. Exciting, ain't it? I'm not sure the dual-gate FETs used in the mixer stage are even still available... but I have a good RF board out of a "parts radio"... Pretty much...
