Well, I have a question, I just fixed my old craftsman it had a rotted off fuel line. On this machine the ID of the Primer and the Fuel line is the same as are the carb fuel barbs. The holes into the tank are slightly different though. I think the ID is 1/8 or slightly less +/_ the OD sizes are...
Kind of a timely thread. I have a old (80s?) maybe Craftsman (green cowling) trimmer and I think it needs a kit. I have not taken it apart yet though. Today I was wondering maybe I should just buy a carb got to be close to the cost of a kit.
Mineral Spirits, I never thought of that. I am going to get a re-fillable air pressurized sprayer for my shop. was told many people fill them with mineral spirits instead of bulk carb cleaner or brake cleaner because its cheaper.

The other day after tugging on my Dolmar 5105 10...
Yes,
I really don't have a specific use for it, I will run it a bit from time to time. For now, I will keep it in the back of my Ranger for lately with all the wind we get there always seems to be a tree between me and where I wish to go.
I honestly did not have to do much to it, it has a wonderful purple spark when seen though my spark plug tester window. I dumped out the old gas it was quite rich in color I am guessing this may be 40:1? I put in a little new 50:1 and a few extra drops of 2-stroke oil and shook the heck out of...
