My 357 is built this way. Sure goes well, alot of power for small saw. I run 3/8 on an 18"bar. @huskihl managed to get his hands on (or into) the cylinder then got built down under by @markds2 .
Can personally vouch for Mark's integrity, not to mention packaging skills. Have sent him many a saw, many a time. These are often being forwarded onto the US for port work. If it wasn't 110%, he wouldn't be selling it. Buy with confidence
I've recently finished milling a big Oak log, running 72" bar, single powerhead on XS3120.
We used the Oregon 27RX chain, think there's 5 drivelinks between cutters
Some of the porters will answer this better, but in my understanding, no. They won't run a 42 and 50" bar like a 395 will.
@bradb123 has had experience with both.
