I don’t see that as being acceptable, but I suppose some porting techniques may be more likely to flake the plating.

Yea I’m used to it too and having the brake parts in the cover is nice. I just prefer the inboard clutch for ease of sprocket...

I get it, but I'm so used to the outboard style that it's nothing. The brake parts all in the clutch cover sure is nice too.

IIRC, Walbro put out a service bulletin some years ago saying NOT to put their carbs in an ultra-sonic cleaner.
