Last weekend they were saying rain most of the week so planted grass and covered with some straw mat on the north side of the house only to watch it all drop off. Still hoping to get something to grow and stop the erosion.
Got it cut up yesterday and moved it to my side today plus some cleanup. Should be some nice heat in a couple of years. Most likely will let it sit a few months before starting to split it.
Next door neighbor had an elm taken down that was pretty much on the property line. Told her that they could just drop it and I would cut it to length. She had them cut it (16") at least they left the trunk for me to deal with.
Had .12" since midnight this morning. Made it up to low-70's. Currently raining (.27") at the moment and 33f. Nice to get a little rain but hoping to avoid the storms tonight.
50's yesterday, last nice day as the next week as chances of rain/snow everyday. Was able to get out and turn this into this. Pretty much did me in working up that heavy crap. Still need to get better at cutting to length as some are 24". They should fit the stove but I may have to cut them...
Got down to +6f, currently at +8f heading to mid-20's for the day. Had the furnace off during the nice days and still off. Got down to 63 inside with just the stove so I feel that's pretty good with the stove in the basement and 3,000sf. Talking 0 tonight but may just leave the stove off and see...
12f for the start today when I headed out at 6:30 to start moving 8" of white stuff. Neighbor jumped in so I only had to clear 5.5 driveways plus ours.
23 heading to (maybe) 32. They moved us into the 3"-7" range for snow this afternoon and evening so have to see what happens. Got the splitter moved around and was able to split 2 quartered (half of a round) of the oak picked up Sunday. Filled the wagon with plenty more to do, pin oak always...
