I have same problem, of course mother-in-law says I'm all effed up. But I was thinking that something with a little lubricant, like Carb cleaner, would be as good as the WD-40 someone else suggested. Quick shot in spark plug hole.

Thanks Wilhelm. Using VP Fuels Full Synthetic oil at 50:1 and E-Free gasoline. Seems like it only happens with the chainsaws, and not with my trimmer, lawnboy, or hedge clipper. Just the saws.

Anyone ever seen a vid or tutorial on how to replace the manifold or Stihl 021 or similar saws?

No diff, but.....it's fixed. I had the high side way too rich and it kept stalling. Leaned it out and now she screams. But I gotta get a tach so I don't over rev.

Saw starts OK, and seems to idle OK. But when I nail the throttle, rpms rise maybe halfway, then the saw cuts out. Seems very smoky. If I cut back on the low side, the saw won't run. Is this a high side issue? Fuel is daisy fresh, carb two or three years old, but hasn't seen that much use...

This question applies to an Echo and a Stihl 021 saw. If the saw has been sitting for a few mos, it is very hard to pull the rope. Sometimes I have to set it down, step on it, and have the kid pull the cord until I can pull out the rope all the way. Once the cord comes out and retracts...

You use plain old #2 grease on the rails? Not criticizing, just clarifying.

Personally, I always thot it was pretty good stuff and convenient. Yet there are internet know-it-alls who bad mouth that brand of premix. What is the complaints, beside price?
