Help with Echo PB-580T Backpack Blower

As a last resort, I pulled off the cylinder. The piston was scored, with the rings welded in the compressed position. Looks like the previous owner ran it the first time on straight gas.

Help with Echo PB-580T Backpack Blower

My neighbor brought this over. His son gave it to him. Looks brand new. I don't think it was ever ran. For some unexplained reason the carb was replaced. Anyhow, it will not start. Have good spark, and fuel is getting to the carb. The spark plug gets barely wet with fuel. There is some...

Is there something broken off this tab?

It's wired to the starter circuit. The tab must be compressed to activate the micro switch, allowing the starter to operate.

Is there something broken off this tab?

This is from a Tecumseh/Ariens electric start mower. The issue is, this metal tab on the interlock switch, interferes with the pinion gear dropping down to fully engage the ring gear. It just grinds, because the gears do not mesh. Is there supposed to be something else on this tab, to prevent...

Recoil start problems on Craftsman chainsaw

On my 40cc Crafrsman/Poulan chainsaw I cannot pull the starter rope more than a couple of inches, then it locks up. If I remove the muffler, the issue remains. If I remove the sparkplug, the rope pulls easy. There is a considerable amount of fuel in the cylinder, so it might be a hydraulic lock...

    Little Wonder Edger

I have a Little Wonder Edger #6002. I would like to get a crack cleaner attachment for it. The O.E.M. attachments are pretty pricey. I don't know what all is included with their attachment, but I see suitable aftermarket brushes quite reasonable. Is the brush all I need, or are additional parts...

Need Help for Troy-bilt TB25CS trimmer

Thanks, that looks about right. The parts diagrams are very deceptive, on what parts are compatable. I will see if I can locate the correct cover. Is there a part number for the cover you show? Mine was 753-1192.

Need Help for Troy-bilt TB25CS trimmer

I hope these two pictures help. I am really baffled here, on what I have. No spark also, so new coil is on the way. This thing sat in pieces for many years.

Need Help for Troy-bilt TB25CS trimmer

I rescued this trimmer from the dumpster. It was missing several key parts. Most of the parts were NLA, so I bought them used on ebay. Airbox cover, carb, and carb choke plate with lever. My question is the air box cover has a knob that turns, and there is a lever that attaches to the choke...

Best brand or place for replacement coils

I think ebay is probably the best overall. They are usually my first choice, before looking elsewhere. Your decision is whether to get a knockoff or a genuine replacement. There is usually a big difference in cost. You might get lucky and find a NOS unit there, at a decent price. It does happen.

Trouble with Ariens 911 series mowers

I have had several Ariens 911 series walk behind mowers. A chronic issue for me with these mowers, is the blade adapter drive pulley wearing out. The V in this pulley is very shallow, and the cogged drive belt, is almost flat, with a minimum V taper. Before you know it, the belt is bottomed out...

Extended Blade Adapter Needed for Push Mower

I finally took the bull by the horns. I found a MTD adapter that had a pulley on it, 748-04016, that was 3 inches long. It cost $29. I had anticipated having the key, run the full depth of the adapter. Wrong. Only about the last inch from the bottom. I had some key stock, and made a key to run...
