YTer Steve of Sidetrack Adventures has a video on a hike to this memorial. He always puts some good historical information in his videos. Well worth the watch IMO.
I bought a S&W 329PD (Scandium framed .44 Mag) 2nd hand. Within about 100 shots, the frame cracked. I sent it back to S&W and I had a brand new one back in a couple weeks. If it's a S&W, they'll take care of you.
