So a stihl mount bar takes 91DL no matter if it’s on a stihl saw or husky saw? In other words, it’s the bar itself that determines the drive length count and not the saw it’s on?

Is it possible to make 28" chains work on both husky & stihl mount bars. I would like all my 28" chains to be interchangeable between both my 462 & 372. If I shorten a 93DL chain to 92DL will it work on both saws or am I f*cked? context: Stihl mount requires 91DL Husky mount requires 93DL
