    Fire extinguishers!

Thanks to this thread I have gotten my act in gear and rebuilt the pump on this 5 gallon stainless steel Indian Pumper that was long overdue. A nice companion to have in the woods when conditions are tinder dry.

Easy Start 5105 kaput. New parts but unsure of how to tackle this. I envision the starter spring unwinding.

    Fire extinguishers!

Good old water is nice to have also. Most fire departments carry these for small class A fires. If you look in your classified ads there will probably be one for sale. What’s nice is that you can recharge it yourself if you can air up a tire. Bread twister for pin lock.

Wow, that engine looks strikingly similar to the Cummins B-series here, which they acquired the rights to produce from Deutz. I am ribbed from time to time for having a truck with a tractor engine.

    Brotherhood of Firemen

The saw was used for storm clean up this past weekend. Not as fast as a gas saw, but with a much quieter environment. It worked fine until the battery ran down. They only received one battery with it and the charger is 120 volt AC located at the station. No way to mobile recharge and when the...

    Fire extinguishers!

Good firefighting! This is what I carry in my vehicle about $15 at hardware and box stores. No dry chemical mess. I used one to extinguish a car fire that had just started on the interstate a few years ago. They’re said to be more effective because just about everyone knows how to operate a...

Clutch covers too narrow for good chip clearance

At least for the 460 you can get an aftermarket larger cover, like from HL Supply that are better for noodle flow. The stock chain catchers help clog noodles as well. Saws I’ve had with dual spike bars and roller catchers performed better when noodling. To my surprise the old Dolmar 6000i I have...
