Thanks to this thread I have gotten my act in gear and rebuilt the pump on this 5 gallon stainless steel Indian Pumper that was long overdue. A nice companion to have in the woods when conditions are tinder dry.
Did you pressure test the fuel line and vacuum test the fuel tank while the carburetor was off ? It the tank holds vacuum the vent is bad. Sometimes fuel line develop hair line cracks.
Good old water is nice to have also. Most fire departments carry these for small class A fires. If you look in your classified ads there will probably be one for sale. What’s nice is that you can recharge it yourself if you can air up a tire. Bread twister for pin lock.
