I do like the idea of the adjustment leg under the splitter with multiple holes to pin it to the desired height but my ultimate goal is to have a hand crank style so I don't have to manually lift the splitter and try to get the pin in the hole .

I had a side mount crank style on it and it gets in the way of the log coming off the wedge .

I had to grind that little bit off the drum that protrudes out past the clutch and it worked out .
I don't remember if it was a aftermarket drum or OEM but that may also play a part in this problem.

I didn't swap the carb as I don't have a donor..I'm gonna have to find one somewhere!
I'm definitely deep into this one but I'm not quitting yet 😂

Back to the ea6100...
I was able to source a entire block with good crank and got it all assembled but still having the same throttle problem.
Saw just dies at WOT
Took the carb all apart and rebuilt and shot all the ports out with carburetor cleaner.
Something I did notice was some gouges on...
Id say the more parts the parts saw has the better .
You never really know what your gonna need so better to have and not need then to need and not have !
