I have an Echo CS490 in great shape. I'd like to gain the starting help from the decompression valve that the CS4910 has. Is the newer head a direct substitute for the earlier one? Thanks, Ed

I was successful in removing the adjustment limiters, thanks again. Now that they have been removed, is there a special Echo tool to turn the adjustment needles or use just a "fat blade" screw driver for the very wide slots.

Here are the carb adjustment caps.

They are plain with only a straight slot across the top. I'll try to get a good photo tomorrow and post it. Thanks, Ed

I just bought a CS 4010 from my friend who is the original owner. When I tried to remove the H & L carb adjustment limiter caps I saw that they have only a slot with no center hole like my older Echo saws. Is there a different technique for getting a screw started in preparation for pulling...

I want to remove the limiters from the H and L carb adjustment screws on my Echo 490 chainsaw so I can tune it to avoid being too lean, etc. Are there any special steps that I should take? Once I remove the limiters, will a regular, small, screwdriver work? Thanks, Ed

I see that Echo makes a "Purge Bulb Kit" that they say fits many models. Does anyone know if the kit will fit on a CS-490 chainsaw? Thanks, Ed
