I used to use an MS362 as a bucket truck saw due to the easier pull starts, if that’s a factor for your family. But the power-to-weight balance on a new MS462 is very good.

I run a repurposed elastostart handle on my Husky 562, using a big stopper knot. It’s gone though a couple big jobs so far and hasn’t torn through the flexible rubber. But given the choice, I would have done it your way.
