    The Swap Meet Thread

Over the years, there were two different shades of orange. ( I have a husky with three different shades on the same saw from the factory) I finally got my 026 to match, but I did the opposite of what you’re doing so I could use the mesh filter.

    Husqvarna C83 the best?

Same here. I have nuttin for better speed than factory ground RSP. Most chain starts to shine as the tooth gets shorter. I don’t have any shorter than half, goes back to long life alloy. PaDan gave me a pretty fresh loop in a saw deal. I know it now has no less than 15 tanks on it and still very...

    Husqvarna C83 the best?

I think the steel is better too... Seems like C83 and RSP have a great lifespan.

    What’s in my woods?

A family of coons can make quite a ruckus even if they’re fighting over the contents of a trash can. Mountain lion supposed to sound like a woman screaming.

    What’s in my woods?

Any chance it’s a deer? They stomp and blow out through their nose if they’re puzzled by something in their surroundings.

FOUND IT Oem small bucking dawg

This is picture that I saved quite a while ago for 261 duals... FTR, I hate big dogs. Useless where I do my cutting.

    400.1 first impression

What does the band look like from the factory? It would probably be one of the cheapest things they could do to "copy" stuff they see here...

Simington / Silvey Square Chain Grinders Tips/Tricks/Secrets

That’s what my mom would call a “Rough Patch” If you aren’t familiar, a side beak comes from feeding the tooth too far into the stone while grinding. A top beak is when the tooth isn’t pushed into the wheel quite far enough. As with any chain, the rakers or depth gauges play an important part in...

Simington / Silvey Square Chain Grinders Tips/Tricks/Secrets

Seeing the corner is, without a doubt, the most important thing in square grinding. A side beak is too vulnerable to be durable, and a top beak absolutely will not cut. A perfect corner is surprisingly durable even in eastern hardwoods.
