Purchased 4 new pair of Dickies flex work pants @8 bucks each w/ the caveat they are 873 slim flat fronts. They'll work fine in the shop.

I normally don't partake in internet diagnosis, because it's just guessing without it being in your hands,.....but....this seems like either a bad casting batch/mix or the cylinder was dropped at some point. People forget and a cursory glance may have gotten it filed in the "no harm, no foul"...
