Just working to get back active on here since I moved to a house where I have no wood heat option I fell out of touch. Been around since back in 09 AS to SawHawgz to here :o Saw in FB group someone talking about saw volunteering, mentioned an org name. When I went back to get it, the post...

Think the saws being released now will be the last ever???

And logging crews now have to add a huge diesel generator to the mix to charge all the saw batteries the fellers will use. Like EV cars there is a place. Homeowners that use a saw once or twice a season. A firewood processor lot close to battery charge station could use one for bucking...

You can set the videos to not searchable, they would not show up in any one suggested videos as well as turn off commenting. That just turns it into a hosting platform. The only way to then see of find the video is if you share the link. I used to use it that way to share trouble shooting...

STIHL The Official Stihl Chainsaws Thread

This is why we can't have nice things and half our pay goes to wasteful spending... though I see the same in the private sector I am in, managers trying to use up money for X category at the end of the year, but can't do something we need because that is a Y category spend. All part of the if...

I think if i was the dealer I'd give the owner a portion of the cost of labor as trade in value. Not knowing those numbers I could guess at labor cost on this, but would help push them to new, save the labor time, and potentially get some salvageable used parts for helping those in a tight spot...

STIHL The Official Stihl Chainsaws Thread

Dropped a huge leaner tree on my 661, well hinge collapsed and it pinched the bar, and like a dumb@$$ i did not unbolt the PH. When I grabbed another saw to finish the backcut and let it chair. As it twisted of the stump it put the rear handle in the ground and busted off the clutch cover and...

    That Will Buff, Won't It

Yeah I have not ponied up to the world of breaking a spinning rivots. Thinking of doing so... I'll have to take this to a dealer and the only Stihl dealer I know still spinning chain is almost an hour away. Worst part is it is close to the outlet malls and if the wife hears that the direction...

    That Will Buff, Won't It

Put a tree down in the back yard, hollow, with a dead snag at the top, and set where the dogs' tieout/run would let them get wrapped around. Bucking it up into rounds, though most were C shaped from the hollow. Putting metal in trees should be a crime. Not normal wire fence looked close to ¼"...
