I have the NeoTec carbs in stock with H for screw $54. They’re not sufficient for race saws but seem to do ok for work saws. I also have unlimited coils for $22. Plus shipping.
Agreed. I used a heat gun for getting the bearings in the case halves. A Stihl shop manual I have called for heating the inner bearing races to install the crank. That just didn't seem like a good idea to me, hence the tools. They worked very well.
In the video he uses a small piece of cardboard as a spacer to let him know where to stop when pulling the crank through the first bearing. I was thinking auto shims would work better.
I just got a full set of these tools and used them on an old 066 yesterday. Very sweet! Beats beating with a hammer. I think they could be adapted for pulling bearings into case halves as well. Heat guns do work well but these might be worth a shot too. Thanks again Matt.
Can't help but wonder...
The black ones are China made, UK distributed, Monkey Beaver dealered in the US. The new models are made by TsuMura now and very very pricey. Here are the Stihl ones. https://www.chainsawbars.co.uk/product-category/panther-mini-bars-for-stihl/
Certainly you want to make sure there is a clear path from the saw oiler slot to the bar groove. Enlarge existing or drill new holes in the bar to match. Having an external oiler at the far end of the bar would be a good idea too. What’s the part number for the bar? I can ask them about oil...
The V-Modest and KNK that I sell are not only different from each other, they are vastly different from the Echo. The clutches look to be the only thing that is the same and I'm sure that's because they are a purchased part rather than an in-house made part.
