man thats hard news to hear. alan was good people, really enjoyed the times i got to visit with him at gtgs. talk about a guy with a wealth of knowledge and ability.
i should also add that my 3120 has a dukes cylinder on it and it was definitey one of the nicest aftermarket cylinders ive seen. kevin machined it for me and i ported it, it runs plenty well enough for me.
ive had one of those featherweights on my 346 for 8 months or so. the clear coat goes away pretty quick and it gets rusty if it sits out but so far it has held up well, hard to be sure but it has at least 50-60 tanks of fuel through the saw while using this bar.
