For some reason I thought Husqvarna started putting a newer, beffier muffler on the more recent 592xps. I got a new one from Bruce at HL Supply a year or so ago and it seemed (and felt) a little heavier than than the one that came on it. Probably a 5 year old saw for what it's worth.
I'd like to add captive bar nuts to a 461 and that video sure seemed slick, but I have absolutely no idea of how to go about doing something like. Is anyone able to explain it for an idiot like me?
For sale is my Mastermind 592xp. It's a big, well ported saw and performs as such. I've ran it with echo red armor at 40:1 with ethanol free gas. Thanks to Bruce at HL Supply I replaced the original muffler with the newer model (thicker metal). The inner spike dog mount broke last year. I...
The standard/original Duke's chain is a copy of the Husqvarna Xcut. It has a pronounced top plate "lip" and is very aggressive right out of the box. The blue label chain is a copy of Stihl RS. Same metal is used for both chains.
Lol. Not hard to do if you cut a lot of logs on the ground and only run sharp chains. I wouldn't very awed by that number - more of a testament of me not doing a very good job at keeping my chain out the dirt and swapping chains often...lol.
The loops of chains I have right now are the Husqvarna c83 xcut and the Duke's original chain. The Duke's chain is basically a copy of the xcut with the exaggerated top plate which makes both it and the xcut very aggressive out of the box. Probably have 9 or 10 loops of each brand currently...
I've also been told by a very reputable porter that the engine doesn't have as much "meat" as he thinks it should which in his mind could lead to durability/longevity issues. All that said, I love the saw and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if something happens to this one. It's super...
Well, I've had a MMWS 592xp for at least 3 years now. Dealer support kinda depends on where you're located I suppose. The common complaint I hear from my dealer is how long it takes to get parts from Husqvarna. I had Duke at Saw Salvage tell me the same thing. Fortunately I haven't really...
