Yeah, those chains with the frozen links soaked in old motor oil for months. Didn't help them at all.

The standard/original Duke's chain is a copy of the Husqvarna Xcut. It has a pronounced top plate "lip" and is very aggressive right out of the box. The blue label chain is a copy of Stihl RS. Same metal is used for both chains.

Lol. Not hard to do if you cut a lot of logs on the ground and only run sharp chains. I wouldn't very awed by that number - more of a testament of me not doing a very good job at keeping my chain out the dirt and swapping chains often...lol.

The loops of chains I have right now are the Husqvarna c83 xcut and the Duke's original chain. The Duke's chain is basically a copy of the xcut with the exaggerated top plate which makes both it and the xcut very aggressive out of the box. Probably have 9 or 10 loops of each brand currently...

Yeah, that's what I see too. Seems like the metal is pretty soft and looses it's edge quickly.
