    Duke's saw chain

Yeah, those chains with the frozen links soaked in old motor oil for months. Didn't help them at all.

    Duke's saw chain

The standard/original Duke's chain is a copy of the Husqvarna Xcut. It has a pronounced top plate "lip" and is very aggressive right out of the box. The blue label chain is a copy of Stihl RS. Same metal is used for both chains.

    Husqvarna C83 the best?

Lol. Not hard to do if you cut a lot of logs on the ground and only run sharp chains. I wouldn't very awed by that number - more of a testament of me not doing a very good job at keeping my chain out the dirt and swapping chains often...lol.

    Husqvarna C83 the best?

The loops of chains I have right now are the Husqvarna c83 xcut and the Duke's original chain. The Duke's chain is basically a copy of the xcut with the exaggerated top plate which makes both it and the xcut very aggressive out of the box. Probably have 9 or 10 loops of each brand currently...

90cc class saws which one is the current king of the class?

I've also been told by a very reputable porter that the engine doesn't have as much "meat" as he thinks it should which in his mind could lead to durability/longevity issues. All that said, I love the saw and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if something happens to this one. It's super...

90cc class saws which one is the current king of the class?

Well, I've had a MMWS 592xp for at least 3 years now. Dealer support kinda depends on where you're located I suppose. The common complaint I hear from my dealer is how long it takes to get parts from Husqvarna. I had Duke at Saw Salvage tell me the same thing. Fortunately I haven't really...

    Duke's saw chain

Spoke with the Duke today. He said he's waiting for an order to come in on chain in .050. Said it'll be at least a month.

    SELLING Stihl 261

This a used, stock 261 with an adjustable carburetor. I picked it up from a guy who straight gassed it and scored the piston. Kevin LaVanway (XS) cleaned up the cylinder and put a meteor piston in it. He's got a video of himself cutting with it after the rebuild on his YouTube channel. All...

Hey Duke. Any update on the blue label chain in .050?

    Duke's saw chain

So which one do you think is best suited for cutting exclusively hardwood? Absolutely no question about the value of your chain. It's all I run anymore and I recommend it to anyone who'll listen to me...

    Duke's saw chain

Well, Duke Thieroff (the guy who actually sells this chain) is a member here. Maybe he'll chime in and tell us the difference between the Duke's chrome plated chain and the new Duke's blue label chain. Hey Duke, you there?

    V-MODEST

Yeah, that's what I see too. Seems like the metal is pretty soft and looses it's edge quickly.
