    Inside the.....? (solved, MS 500i)

Hey Steph, the data’s of the saws are interesting. To complete the list, may you could add the power at max torque ans also the specific fuel consumption at P max and Md max. The power/torque range of the 395 is enormously. The fuel consumption of the 461 is very spare instead the 500i...

Hi Ferris, I largened the exhaust in the direktion to the zylinder (so the emissions have the same direction and doesn’t hit the case or the brake) and remove the baffle beside the intake in the exhaust. The timing advance is 0,3 mm (i guess) on the fixation point on the flywheel.

Wow, this improvement only by doing a MM is awesome till unbelievable. I did several analytic tests and comparisons in hundreds of timed cuts. The way how you cut (push, leveraging) has main influence into the cutting times. Also the wood, even the same wood couldn’t guarantee the same time...

You are right, it’s needed by build the saws more compact. Unfortunately I had only bad experiences with every single Husqvarna saw. Hopefully this new series will rebuild the repute.

I hope the 565/572 will have also the same potential in porting like 545/550/555/560/562 IMHO the size of the inlets and transform ports are huge. Especially the inlets, there isn’t much place for improvement.

Hey Steph, great technical photos of the 565. They use sealed bearings - I would prefer separate sealing rings, there it’s possible to change without a complete rebuild. Do it is possible to measure the external and internal diameter of the bearing. Do they are bigger than the bearings on...

Hi Mike, no question the ES light bars are very good and I like them and prefer to use them. When you work with sense, ther wouldn’t be any other bar above them. Some forestry workers who are working under high pressure use the bar to leverage the kerf out :-/ I think there you will feel the...

To choose the right bar on to a chainsaw is an easily way to increase the working speed by removing branches from the tree and decrease to get tired at work. With the right technology of cutting it’s possible to cut trees which has twice of diameter of the length of the bar. And you save much...

Oh sorry I mean stiff. The stiffness against torsion force isn’t as high as a full steel bar.

Hi Chevy, imho are the Stihl ES light bars are great and improve the balance a lot. Unfortunately they aren't as stiff as full steel bars, you feel the difference at 28". Up to 20" it doesn't make a significant difference. Imho you have to choose the bar length "as short as possible and as long...
