I can report. Back with rpms next time I run it. It is a 7t sprocket I don't have any big wood but I'd like to try my 30" bar on it and see how it compares to my ms462. I'm sure it's faster but not sure how much. As I've said I am a fairly novice with porting and someone with a lot more patience...
Full weight with fluids is 17 lbs 10 oz with the brass recoil spacer and mag clutch cover. Not bad considering my 036/044 hybrid with a 20" light .325 bar has a plastic cover and weights 16lbs 11 oz. Extra compression helped torque, no longer is drowning it's self in fuel. Video isn't the best...
Finished up and put back together ended with .050 off the band also has a pop-up that may not stay it's just what I had laying around. I didn't grab a pic but the intake was jagged and had a lip the actual first opening was around 88 Wich explained why so much spit back. I ended at 79 120.5 100...
I am very green when it comes to porting. Very basic work I understand the concepts and such but haven't got to put it into practice yet. I feel like it's lacking case volume from the size of engine. That and this cylinder even after removing aluminum is pretty bad shape so I don't care if it...
Last we have the carburetor setup which is just a 044 style carb with a 5/16 spacer and the hole in the plastic cut out to fit with a 066 boot because it was the straightest. For the choke lever I used bits of air line jb welded on the original lever and it works good looks terrible though.Carb...
Next we have the massive amount of grinding everywhere obviously had to drill and tap spots for the av mount and top cover had to weld for the av mount.
Next we have what it looks like when you use a trashed cylinder and didn't know you didn't get all the aluminum transfer out. Didn't ruin the...
This evening I tore it down for some epoxy it was spitting back terrible and almost seemed overly rich most of the time at idle. This filter kind of confirms it. Has about a tank of run time.
Next we have the clutch area, nothing to special but it was a absolute nightmare to hand tap the threads...
Just like the thread suggests I got bored over the winter and created a 86cc 361 abomination. The specs are a echo 590 crank. 066 cylinder, the clutch I had to bore out, run a tap and turn down the diameter of a echo cs 670 clutch. Will have more pics tomorrow evening with more details. I have...
If you go to the first page on the post you can see what I did. The 044 crankshaft is shorter and I had to make a special spaced out sprocket by welding 2 together. In your application it wouldnt be that difficult to do if you had a lathe. The outer sprocket would need cut out in the middle and...
Works pretty decent I use it fairly regularly. Only thinks I did different was I made a 8t .325 sprocket for the large style clutch rim because the 9t in hard wood dulls easy. I just never have got around to getting a video of it.
Hello all I am working on some stroker projects and I am in need of measurements from a cs590 crank as I don't have one on hand to measure. If some one could kindly measure these in the order of ABCDE like the pictures below and tell me the measurements in mm I would greatly appreciate it. This...
I discovered a large part of the issue. The gasket on the decomp was leaking. It has gotten rid of the weird stumbling and appears to run cooler now. Along with that I actually put a time light on it when I changed the flywheel and it was at 34*. I set the other at I think 29-30. It hasn't been...
That makes me feel a big better. It only does it when it's shut off after being super hot or after consecutive long cuts. It may be hard to believe but my what gave me the idea was my 462. If I cut off a large stump when it's 100 and then let it sit it won't restart without some effort. I...
Hello all I have come to notice that my 034 hybrid seems to be having heat soaking and cooling issues when running in longer cuts and it's hot out. Because I'm 98% sure it is boiling the fuel if I shut it off and it sits it will run like crap for a few seconds or will sometimes idle funky for a...
That would be a pretty good idea after looking at them more I definitely think I will get the weird corners out. If it wasn't so much a pain I think it would benefit from a larger carb or at least larger jets at this point. The jets are both backed out alot more than normal compared to most saws...
