I have done similar to what you did along with a small pop-up I just havnt got around to making a video comparison. I'm waiting on a coil from a 4510 they are the same basic saw just different motors and coils mainly. The 4510 has a higher limit and possibly may not be limited at all Ive been...
Got some time today to play around. I genuinely hate the stock Oregon chain that came with it, semi chisel safety chain. It responded well to the muffler mod it didn't care about the timing. Maybe slightly better throttle response I will probably leave it alone for now. And see how it likes it...
I've got it just havnt got to try it yet been stuck at work but it is a 45mm bore 31.7 stroke according to the manual Wich is disappointing. I was hoping it was 44.7 and a ms261 piston would work or be similar. If I tear it down and want more compression I will have to do a welded popup
He posted the video of the ported one and had respectable gains. They haven't been out long but there literally is no other videos on YouTube I can find other than the 2 he has posted.
I am the owner of a new echo 4920 or I will be Monday when it shows up in the mail. The bread and butter for everything I own is muffler mod timing advance and base gasket delete. Obviously this is a clam saw so no gasket delete. However I can find very little information about these and am...
Made a discovery while a 044 and 36 chare the same bearings the crank seals are different on the flywheel side. I used 036 seals. 044 has a 1mm small case than a 034/36. When I replaced it the first time I used a 036 seal and it has blew out on me and the seal is buckled like it's to small. Well...
Final weights completely filled the 261 vs this. Both 20" light bars one 325 and one 3/8. I unfortunately can't run it or get a video the home made gasket blew out and it won't run right. So I'm got to find someone that can make me a gasket out of 1/16" copper preferably. Or attempt it myself.
Lovely little update no vids yet, hopefully that will come tomorrow or so. I have filed a total of .032 off the key and it seems to start better yet not much difference in response. However that is due to the choked out muffler and air filter. It has this type of hd filter and it still has the...
I measured roughly and I mean very roughly and it is indead off by at least 4-5* I got tired of trying to measure and freezing so it's good enough to note that if anyone does one of these just advance it some to start. Next time I get around to it I'm going to just shave a little more off. Now I...
Yes sir all 044 stuff if I was to do it again I would try to find a shorter piston from a just or something if it exists with as big of a gasket and as much as I took off the top of the piston .100less would be a much better starting point
I have not, Wich is why I think it needs a bit more advance yet. It was enough to run before and runs much better now. But only about what a ported saw runs like with no timing advance. I'm going to look at my 046 and check with a degree wheel between it and this abomination.
I would almost...
Well after lots of delays and breaking my collar bone I finished it today. I had boogered up the flywheel side seal when installing. After probably 20 minutes of various run time and a few cuts compression ended up at 205. I have not made a working choke but I discovered it doesn't need one of...
Currently having fuel feed issues along with not having a choke lever yet makes starting pretty much pointless. Pretty sure the fuel line is kinked need to shorten the elbow on the carb and use a different impulse line it is stretched pretty tight. Next would be the flywheel side seal I might...
Got back on this yesterday and finished it up. Appearantly the 044 crank has a slightly shorter pto side Wich made for this interesting contraption and cutting some off the clutch drum. I need to bore the center out so I can put a washer and snap ring on it. It is a 325 9 pin welded tona 3/8 7...
