A lot of Californians that moved to Idaho who watch YouTube...if they weren't buying a MS 180cb-e then they were buying a 500i. -

I believe a ported 500i would win in that class of saws. I went with a ported 462.

The ms500i is the only current production 80cc saw. Based on my experience, the 500i is the strongest in both the stock and ported...

Same…current production is going to be a 500i. I’m not crazy about the stock air filtration though. And 462 and 572 have a good track...

If it is genuine stihl halves should not be a problem. But if it is aftermarket stuff I would be a bit weary.

on the old 064 and early 066s the case halves were matched...I have a bin full :p Until I got all these 1122 parts I'd never heard of...

It's the older Stihls (i.e. 460/660 and older) that have a harder time with replacement case halves and Stihl never sold single case...

I have replaced 1 case half on multiple saws with no issues. Husqvarna 346, 395. Dolmar 120, 123, 133, 143 and 7900 and everyone of them...
