    SOLD Makita 9000

Very fair price on that saw. I remember when Baileys were blowing them out years back (I think 2010ish), could kick myself in the butt for not buying a truckload of them. Just couldnt swing it at the time.

    Saw Troll

Thought I would give this old thread a bump. A lot of great guys have passed on. Ive had the pleasure of meeting 100's of fine folks at GTG's and races over the years. All I can say is, cherish them. You dont know when it will be the last one for you or the guy your standing next to. I love...

Who's going to the Paul Bunyan Show Oct. 5-7th?

I plan on going down Sunday morning with my son. Itll be his first time, we'll probably be there a couple hours at least.

    interesting 064

Believe it or not, no lol. It was a round paper sticker. I have seen ones like what you posted though, love those 064s. Itd be a cold day before I ever parted with mine.

How did your chainsaw line up evolve?

I started cutting with a Stihl 031 (still have it)... and Ive had just about everything under the sun at one time, but it all came back to a 10mm 044. I bought it needing repaired, figured I would toss it on Ebay... but once I made a couple cuts with it, I knew it wasnt going anywhere.

    interesting 064

Edit* looks like my post was a little late, but Willard and JJ nailed it (as usual).

    Most underrated saw you own

Husqvarna 42 Special. I put a Tecomec 242xp top end on it. I bought it from a tree service, it was smoked pretty early on in life- and well preserved. I didnt get crazy with it, it was so clean I wanted to keep it stock looking as possible. I love my ms241 dearly, but it wouldnt keep up with...

    interesting 064

I had one... The 064s didnt have a "red light" per se like the 066, but had the rev limited CDIC ignition. Mine had a "digital" sticker with an atom, on the air filter cover.

How To Add A High Speed Circuit To A Walbro WG Carb

I apologize in advance if it has been asked... But the channel you cut for a fuel passage, do you do this on any other carbs (for normal work saw builds), and is it noticeable (or just for extra security). I've wondered before, and figured this would be the perfect place to ask. I know I rarely...

    Echo CS670/ HDA203

He found another 670 today, but keep me in the loop and I'll pass it along.

If any of you guys have an extra exhaust and complete piston, my friend is in need. Lil Red barn has complete piston for 30 bucks, but I'm guessing it is golf (no go). Oem is 70 iirc. Even if you have a good running 670 lmk, and I'll pass it along.

    Echo CS670/ HDA203

After finding more information from him, I believe this to have something to do with it. He got the saw hung up in a tree, and although he didn't tell me this, he is ham fisted and probably yanked on it hard enough to ass up the intake manifold.

Thanks buddy. I told my friend to take it to my other friends shop and let him vac/pressure test it. If it turns out to be the carb (that's what I think it is) I'll get ahold of you. I should know more this week.

Shhhh... Lol. It is actually one that the late, great, Brush Ape assigned to me early on. Did muh best to take it as a compliment. :confundio1::biggrin:

I'd be getting my 046 checked lol. Good thinking on that adapter, it probably let's you used the same dl chain too, which is a big plus.
