I understand completely. I believe there was also a straight 643 ( I'm not sure what the IP means anyway) and a 642 you might keep your eyes out for as well. The 636 was the same size saw but a little less powerful if I remember correctly.

I think it is. It's very light, easy to start, cuts great and it's reliable. It's my go to saw for light clearing, cutting paths and treestand work. Finding one might be the only issue.

Are the micron ratings on these filters published anywhere? I seem to remember the "fine" nylon filter not being all that fine compared to some other brands I've seen.

I bet if you did the at home pickup through usps the driver would just grab it and go. Obviously that's a little more involved with weighing and printing labels but may be an option and save some headache for you?
