Will an 850 run with 125 psi of compression ? I just rebuilt one , cleaned up cylinder and piston . New rings and light hone of cylinder. I can not get it to run on gas squirted in carb . I thought compression would come up with some run time but ? Are there oversized rings for the larger saws ...

Finished up a Pro Mac 55 today ,painted with epoxy paint . Cut up a fire wood tree to break in rings . Had help from Mark Heimann with a few hard to find parts. Had to mix yellow down with deep red to get close and shoot black satin thru HF gun unthined to get texture on black parts. It came in...

I have wondered about that second gasket for several years . And read everything I could get my eyes on. Missed that but I did learn to make the check valves for SDC carbs from older pump rubber diaphram and got a tool to take out brass seat for it. That high speed check valve will drive you crazy

off topic but I think this group is the best source of info I have found. Why are there two thicknesses of pump side gasket in most sdc carb Kits? Has anyone ever seen a yellow top tank and handle SP80 ?I have one. Does any one have a source for rubber bumpers on on back of tank for SP 80? I am...

I am rebuilding a PM 55 and piston is pinned but pins are both in intake port . Is this normal ? Had a broken ring and a wear spot on intake port edge. I have chamfered this well but am worried about hanging new ring in port. It looks like it came from factory this way. Also trying to find rings...

No decomp valve . And no spacer under rear screw. I thought I was missing something and could not find it on Mac 10-10 parts list. I had the same thought about piston kit from lrb . Cabers should work great on original piston I hope . Original top ring was broken and lower broke as I was taking...

Little red barn piston . Spacer plus gaskets is 3/8 ‘s original piston is 1 3/4 inch and rings were 1.3 mm thick . Thanks for seal info I will get it . it does go in the bearing race . The spacer puts front of gas tank 1/8 th above oil tank . Do you think I have an earlier series of saw ? 2-10...

OK , thanks all ! I have a saw that was marked Mac 10-10 but no tag . Number on bottom is 10 2346 . I just put new rings in it after mild porting . Used caber 45 mm x 1.2 rings and had to trim them slightly to fit cylinder . I ordered a set of 10-10 rings and piston and they were 1.5 thick and...

    026 pro carb

I just cleaned and tuned a new to me 026 pro and it would not run well at high throttle . The carb on it has no high jet adjustment . Looks blocked out. I put a regular 026 carb on it and had it running great. Do I lose anything this way? Or should I rebuild old carb ? Never seen one with out a...
