I was going to say I have done a reset on 3,0 mtronics without the brake, I believe it’s in the manual just for safety purposes.

Got tractor parts and replaced the starter ring gear. Pictures are of splitting it a couple days ago, classic torque limiter failure...

Yeah, when I got it I decided not to split the cases, but it was evident that it had high hours on it.

The looseness doesn't bother me, the leakage does 😎👍

Does the saw have a lot of hours on it? Many saws use C3 tolerance bearings, which have a little play from new.

Just so happened to check the crank for play on my 266xp. Slight radial play. Time for bearings.
