Used the Granberg Winch yesterday on a big cedar with the 60" mill and 62" bar. It's fine.. The winch is squeaking already and feels weak . I would not recomend buying one at the current price from Granberg. Ana ran a Time lapse while I was rippin but It won't embed. Click the 1st pic for link...

I got one too last year when they first introduced it. They had to send me a new one as the original was binding so bad it froze up. It seems a bit lightly built but .... that's why I got it. My mill rig is heavy enough (3120 60" mill "cage"). Adding a trailer winch seemed overkill considering...

Thanks for the link... That man is super talented. I have to admit, I would do many of those cuts with a 10 1/4" beam saw instead of chainsaw (Bigfoot saw). It's No way to develop new skills but sometimes what you know....
