    Elk vids—no big bulls

Time well spent. Believe me when I say those memories made will mean a lot as you go on through life. The best memories I have with my father are of times spent in the outdoors. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Elk vids—no big bulls

There were some locals here who used to enjoy traveling to Idaho to hunt but they’ve pretty much given up on that now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Curious

When I was younger there were a couple of older gentlemen living in our small town and I would take fire wood to them. It was always a fun time when I went down with a load. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    State firewood cutting

It’s called a Jaw Boss. Works on the smaller logs to keep them off the ground. Saves on chain wear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    State firewood cutting

I normally cut on the homestead, but the state forestry opened up some cutting areas close to home. Hard to pass up good wood that is easy to get to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hmmm.....no Shindaiwa?

Got a couple of 757s but don’t run them often as there isn’t much big wood available. If nothing else I think they sound great when they are running. I have run a 36” bar with a skip tooth before but it really rips with a 24”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hmmm.....no Shindaiwa?

I’ve got two of them with the HD filter. Works well but always open to ridicule when a pic is posted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Working on the rounds stack

Got the splitter out and started on the rounds stack I’ve collected over the past few months. About 1/2 way done with some good Fir due up. Mostly Maple and Alder so far. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Thinned the wheel

Once you get a decent grind on a chain is it any easier to do a touch up if you don’t tear the chain up too much in the wood, dirt and rocks? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    First cuts

Don’t really have any wood to cut at the moment but tried out the .325 on a couple of small Alder branches. I think it made some decent chips and if anything may be a bit too aggressive for the little Shindaiwa 488. Looking forward to trying it in some real wood. I was thinking I would have to...

    Thinned the wheel

I have my chain holder disk just a little forward of center. I’ve read where moving the chain holder back will give a blunter angle and make a more durable tooth. Is it any easier to match the corner with a blunter angle? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Thinned the wheel

Been trying that a little at a time. Some of these today were really beaky so went back and adjusted to try and remove some of it. Seems a little adjustment goes a long way with these. I’m having fun if nothing else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Thinned the wheel

I can see where having decent eyesight would be very helpful. Struggling here with old eyes that never were good to begin with. Since I had the wheel so thin and didn’t have any more 3/8 to play with I tried to do a .325. Still a little beak but to my untrained eyes I am hoping it was a step...
