Problem solved Stens kits are junk

The carb is definitely leaking. It’s not the welsh plug as I sealed that as a precautionary measure. Being a STENs kit, it is possible that the metering diaphragm is out of spec, I assume that’s what you meant, not the pump diaphragm. I no longer have a MityVac to check for leaks or pop-off

I picked up on that and he has removed the burr. the metering lever is flush with the body of the carb as depicted in the diagram

Ironically I picked up an OEM 026 hose yesterday. And couldnt help but notice the similarities. Thank you for solidifying that thought!!

Seems like the ole 028 fuel hose may be NLA. Is there a STIHL OEM fuel hose from another model that is acceptable to use as a replacement?

There’s no real way to track where it’s been unless the dealer recorded the serial number at time of purchase. 2 things that serial does tell me however… 1. It was made in Germany 2. It’s an early 10mm pin
