Need guidance, my 036 fell out of boom lift.

Thanks! Yep, centering the crank is all it needed. Well, that and some non- broken, replacement parts! It was a good learning experience

SELLING 15% Off Husqvarna Pro Saws - Presidents Day Weekend Sale

It's too late to cancel, their shipping is too fast :) I can return it if not fueled or oiled, but will probably try it out instead of paying to ship it back. Biggest concern is autotune and starting issues I've read about. I'm not a pro, just a property owner with a desire for small...

SELLING 15% Off Husqvarna Pro Saws - Presidents Day Weekend Sale

I ordered a T540 XP MIII to replace the MS200T I wish I hadn't sold. I was initially really excited, but after reading more and more negative reviews and user experiences on this saw I'm wondering if I made a mistake. @Gentleman, sent you a PM.

Need guidance, my 036 fell out of boom lift.

Resurrecting this old thread in case it helps anybody. Well, after sitting for almost 2 yrs, I finally had time to look into the 036. As I was turning the flywheel by hand, feeling of the bound up crank, I got to thinking about what could have happened when it fell onto the recoil cover. I had...

Need guidance, my 036 fell out of boom lift.

Yep, those are some good points. As long as I don't have to involve the king's horses or men to put it back together. I have to do some looking around and see what I can find. Also great points. I've been down the road of nickel and dime-ing my way to having new saw money in a used saw...

Need guidance, my 036 fell out of boom lift.

Yeah that's a good point on bearings getting side loaded, thanks for suggestion. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but really hope cases are OK. Didn't think about that, I'll vacuum and pressure test it first, Thanks This crossed my mind--I popped the flywheel already, but can't tell...

Need guidance, my 036 fell out of boom lift.

Boy, it's been a few years since I've been on here-- haven't really messed with saws in a while since I moved and don't burn wood anymore. I was taking down some trees from a boom lift, and unfortunately the bar got pinched and the limb pulled saw from my hands. I watched it fall about 40' and...

    357 carb on 346xp

@longleaf , here's the bubble show from the factory metal clamp. It wouldn't hold any pressure at all. Found an Oetiker clamp used for a CV boot that fit perfect. No more leak. I'd prefer a screw clamp, but this worked good and it has way more tension than the OEM clamp.

    Introducing the EDWAD 036

Very nice work as usual, Doc! That's a purty saw

    sub 10 pound saw options?

Of course not, I was being a bit facetious. It just just takes some conscious effort to make sure your other hand is not in a bad spot. I did like @Deets066 and held the limb in one hand and cut with the other. I had one (MS200T) for a while and loved it... I tried out a 361 echo a couple...

    sub 10 pound saw options?

I have a lowly MS250 and I love it. I bought it as a basket case, but by the time it was done I, unfortunately, had too much money in it. [Bunch of parts were missing] Only a mild muffler mod and its a great running saw. Can pick em up cheap. The MS200T rear handle sounds awesome to me. The...

A rear handle version would be nice, too

It would be great to find an affordable source for these, as I have no more spares.

    Echo Top Handle Discussion

I'm no climber, arborist, or professional anything. I ran a MS200T for a while that was awesome, but my tendinitis got so bad I couldn't hardly run it anymore. I sold it, and now that my elbows are better, I sorely miss it. I demoed a 2511T Echo and was very impressed with it, especially for...

    New Compression tester

Those particular schrader valves seem harder to come by, as they have a lighter spring pressure than a normal tire valve. Let us know where you find one. I've read where some people get them from Snap-On, but I've never tried to buy one.
