The massive torque it takes to deflect the crush sleeve is what keeps the pinion nut tight. Some one makes a kit to replace the crush sleeve with a spacer / shim kit, once you have the bearing preload set with the new spacer, then it’s
straight torque on the pinion nut.
Do you have fuel lines on correctly? A friend gave me his saw to fix, wouldn’t run well. He had just changed the fuel lines. They were not on the right way. After correcting them, runs, great!

It was at one time, long ago! I have a direct drive David Bradley, that uses that size. Found some chain at a local sharpening shop. When I tried to get another loop, years later, the owner's mind was failing. Sad, He told me to try Lowe’s.
Making part for a fixture to hold a final drive. Has a 28 3/4 inch diameter hole. Had to bore 1/2 of the hole at a time, plate is 59 5/8 square, 1 inch thick. Bolt holes are for a M30 bolt.

Yes it is! It’s the first time I’ve used it, really works great! Also have a small one with a 2” body with an extension.
Will use that to bore for the STD piston.
