    034 low idle jet

I usually first suspect air leak with tuning issues, but this tunes well and easy, but just doesn't hold it after a little cutting. Essentially just doesn't stay running at idle, until I adjust. I tied to look if screw had moved but was hard to tell as it's so little. I will check into this...

    034 low idle jet

Thanks for reply. I never thought of letting loctite dry a bit first. Seems safer and worth a try. I'll examine the o ring thing when I get a chance to look at it again. Thanks again.

    034 low idle jet

I've got an 034 that runs and operates marvelously. However lately the idle jet keeps getting out of tune. I can tune it, which requires an 1/8 turn more or less, but it goes out of tune after a short while. It seems it can go either way.... richer or leaner. I'm assuming it's turning on...

So what did you do today?

Found an uprooted old Black Willow behind the shop that looked like it wanted to be processed for firewood. Nicer wood than I expected. Easiest wood that I ever get to split around here.

So what did you do today?

Yeah, should consider it but I still have a lot of DeWalt 20v tools... screw guns, drills, planer, router, shear, 4 nailers, orbital sander, lights, hammer drill, oscillating saw, Sawzall. This was a generic 60v that caused it. Idk.....hard to know how to think.....they've really been good to...

So what did you do today?

I'm pretty sure the one that started was a 20v/60v max and a generic one I bought off Amazon. I've purchased several regular 20v generic and they have been great, but I think this one wasn't functioning quite right. It certainly isn't now. It had to be extremely hot but did little damage...

So what did you do today?

Just sitting. I don't think the guilty battery was in a tool.

By car batteries I mean electric car batteries.

So what did you do today?

Went out to the shop this morning. Something smelled like burnt plastic. Couldn't figure out what it was. Then I got to the bench. The bad news is that I lost easily $600 in tools. The good news is the shop didn't burn down. I'm sure this could never happen with car batteries, so that's nice.

So what did you do today?

Is that a screw type splitter? 1 was just looking at kits for those a minute ago. I'd like to see it in action. We have no shortage of tractors around here.

So what did you do today?

That splitter is an old one made by Schweiss. Built around 1980. It's pretty bare bones (no one had any money in 1980) and slow but it will go through anything. On its 3rd motor (5hp). We have another spltter that is set up for tractor hydraulics but of course it won't go through nearly as...

So what did you do today?

Got some organizing done in the shop today. Bars and chains are sorted, .325 on left and 3/8 on right . Turns out i have over 60 chains. Thats ridiculous. Getting my saw bench cleaned up and put together. Blocked it up 3 inches to make it more user friendly, for me anyways. Need a coil for...

So what did you do today?

I spent some time in the "gym" today. And then I took the 066 out for a walk. The exercise is as much.for my mental health as physical health. By mental health, I mean mostly just depression and anxiety. It works wonders for me. Now if it was psychopathic issues, I'd say chainsaws and...

So what did you do today?

I went to my son's basketball game last night. He's a 6'5 210 lb junior who is a leader on the court and as a quarterback on the football field. Way more of an athlete than his dad ever was. Pink shoes are in honor of his grandmother (mom) who passed away from cancer 8 years ago. I'm...

So what did you do today?

I got the truck in the shop for an oil change. I change oil every 10,000 miles whether it needs it or not. The shop is my happy place. Grandpa built it in 1940 when he started a farm implement dealership . I've been working in it since early 70s and have so many memories of time with dad...
