It,s about time to order more sealer and I can't make my mind up which to order I am a fan of yamabond but their is so much waste. What you guy,s useing ?

Been using Yamabond since I started this saw fixing thing. Which ain't been that long.



And the Yamaha dealers close.
Same here and I like but I wast a bunch in each tube.

i use versachem no# 1 or 2 gasket maker it is cheap, gas/oil resistant and dries rock hard.

But that Motoseal is a good product too. Hell I even have Dirko.

I use different sealers on different engines depending on how the transfers enter.

The 518 can be persnickity.....

How about for a base gasket dressing? I know it works good for case gaskets

Care to elaborate??? I used it on several saws inlcuding 044#1 (used dirko on the clamshell). 044#1 usually runs just great, but when it gets hot sometimes the idle pics up. I was thinking it must be the clutch side seal (which I replaced), but now you are making me wonder if it could be the base gasket.

Any thoughts or educated guesses???
