who remembers or has a link to the thread about putting the wt 215 on the smaller non adjustable carb saws. Like the ms 170/180.

I've got three of these to do, I'd go search AS but.....

Are you talking 025 carb on a 180? I searched and can't find it, but remember it was a fairly simple swap.

You need to use the correct impulse passage, both are present on the carb. Just look at the intake. Pull the brass plug out of the correct hole and put a dab of epoxy in the unused one. The throttle linkage needs a little finagling to get full throttle. That should be it.

Thomas pretty much covered it....I just did this swap for a customer and it worked great...You also need to do a little trimming with a Dremel on the carb box to access the H&L screws and drill another hole in the handlbar to get at the new LA screw location.

Been busy fellas, but yeah I figured it out. The impulse was an easy fix as Thomas said.

I had done one of these a couple years ago but just couldn't remember exactly what I did.
