Isn't it against eBay rules to sell counterfeit items?
I'd be willing to bet Stihl would slap a lawsuit on this fella if they catch wind of it... especially since he mentions how many times he's already done it.

The thing that p!sses me off the most about Ebay (in the UK that is, don't know how bad it is StateSide) is how much Stolen property is being shifted on it.

A workmate got a bike stolen once. On ebay the next day!

I sure dont like guys putting all the stihl stickers and stuff on there trying to pass it off. And its sort of implied that the quality of parts in the kit is on par with oem, which its certainly not. Im happy with my 660 kit, but i paid a couple hundred bucks, not $800+...buyer beware should be ebays slogan these days.

I can’t believe anybody looking for a 660 and willing to spend that $, would overlook the fact that it’s not genuine.
I would also assume the same buyers to not spend over $800 on a counterfeit.

Makes me wonder if there’s something fishy going on. False bids perhaps to drive the price up?

I had the same thought, thats a lot of bids on one of these, when that price would buy you a mint oem 660 all day. I know ive been the victim of those types of bids:bid on an item, 3 days go by with no bids, at the last second another bidder drives it up just below your max bid...

So the listing seems to be gone now... Somebody buying the chinese kits, assembling them, slapping some genuine article badges on and calling it a Stihl???

You can report it to eBay. There is a report button on the page. It’s a violation of listing practices, search and browse manipulation(mentions stihl when it’s not) and keyword spamming(mentioning “like stihl”)

The one I saw was a Buy it Now, no bidding.
