Carr Fire is still burning... 132,000 acre as of this morning. If flared up a couple hours ago, but still around 8 miles from us. I took this pic about 15 min. ago...

Well the powers out again…. Also heard that a PG&E worker was killed today on the fire.

As of tonight 145,000+ acres burned and almost 1100 homes destroyed on the Carr Fire.

Power is back on. They are holding it at hwy 299 on the south side, and so far have kept it out of the town of Lewiston. I could see the glow of the fire from Weaverville last night. Luckily the winds have been pushing the smoke east, and it’s been fairly cool at night here.

The fire is not going to hit here, but the main road between where I live, and Redding (where we do the majority of our shopping) is closed. It is normally 45 min, but the detour is 3+ hours on a very windy road. They have to replace all the guardrails that we’re damaged, and cut a whole bunch of burned trees before they open the road back up, which could take weeks.
