I guess I'm interested in any other outerwear that would kinda do both.
Something like a snowmobile suit that's durable?
I really don't care about price. I know some of you guys live and work in some cold climates.

Pella makes some good stuff. I used to be out delivering calves at 2 am on the coldest nights of the year. I have their insulated jump suit, bought it in 1995, still in good shape!!

Can wear sweat pants and a tee shirt underneath and be warm and be able to move!!!

Dickies double knee work pants...nothing wears or washes better. They are the best work pants I have ever worn.

Also love my Carhartt insulated bibs.

I'll wear a moisture wicking base layer when cold - top and bottom. Then layer.

Fleece is good as it dries quickly, blocks out the wind, and if it gets wet, helps you stay warm.

Wool is my favorite, but is a good bit more expensive.

I like wearing a water proof coat with a hood - usually a goretex ski shell.
